Sr. Customer Service Representative


Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Sr. Customer Service Representative is responsible for fulfilling customer orders, coordinating resolution of customer complaints, and other customer service functions. The Sr. Customer Service Representative works with and is the central hub for all of the various departments and manufacturing facilities to ensure satisfactory customer service is provided.


Ensuring Systems rigid customer orders are fulfilled on-time including:
Order entry in the ERP (Movex) system based upon shipping origin and 3 different manufacturing facilities (Sauk Village, South Chicago Heights & Toronto)
Coordination of shipping schedules and arrangements with the manufacturing and shipping departments
Communicating shipping schedules with customers and resolving order issues
Coordinate and communicate customer special order requests
Assist with prioritizing orders and allocation of inventory to fulfill customer orders
Invoicing and issuing credits to customers
Assisting in the management of Winpak inventory including reducing aged inventory and managing inventory shortages
Coordinating the company Warranty and Customer Complaint System including:
Initiating the internal investigation by documenting the complaint and communicating within the company
Following-up on customer complaints and ensuring complaints are resolved in a timely manner
Communicating resolution of customer complaints with the Sales Representative and/or the customer; initiating customer credits if required
Developing and maintaining customer information files including Price Authorization forms to ensure that all customer information is accurate and up to date
Communicating with customer Sales Representatives and the Customer Service Manager to ensure all are kept current on customer activities and issues
Serve on the ERP implementation team
Supervise the Customer Service team in the absence of the Customer Service Manager to ensure the smooth workflow of the group
Other duties as assigned

Minimum 5 years customer service experience
Manufacturing background preferred
ERP Implementation experience preferred
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Web Browsers and ERP/MRP Systems
Plus demonstrated experience exhibiting the special qualifications noted above
Associates Degree
High School diploma with equivalent experience/education will be considered in lieu of Associates Degree
