Distribution Supervisor


Supervise the warehouse functions which includes shipping, receiving, inventory and quality to achieve maximum utilization of space and on-time delivery to both internal and external customers.



  • Oversee the warehousing of raw materials and finished goods which includes warehouse infrastructure and asset maintenance (i.e. warehouse repairs of docks, facility and forklifts)
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of records and logs to ensure ISO and SQF requirements are met consistently while participating in internal/external audits
  • Oversee traffic and logistics of in-coming and out-going items including UPS, FED EX, special couriers, and any other material transport.
  • Maintains clean and organized warehouse.
  • Maintains accurate and timely inventory controls both manual and electronic which includes internal production count verification
  • Monitors inventory levels on miscellaneous items (e.g. pallets, bags, gloves, stretch wrap, etc.) and places requisitions to replenish those items.
  • Train, supervise and evaluates the performance of all warehouse personnel while reviewing daily workload to optimize efficiency
  • Responsible for receiving inspection of raw materials and packaging.
  • Ensures safe working environment and procedures are in place and followed.
  • Performs administrative duties including performance reviews, attendance calendars, time cards, disciplinary actions, training documentation, customer returns, acquiring POs as well as holds departmental meetings with warehouse manager etc.
  • Responsible for reporting food packaging safety problems to plant management.
  • In the incumbents absence these responsibilities will be transferred to the Warehouse Manager.



  • Must be trained and follow company policies on GMP, sanitation, pre-requisite programs, chemical control and food safety plans and policies.
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Familiarity with international and domestic shipping guidelines
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be competent to carry out food packaging safety and quality responsibilities.



  • 2 - 3 years-experience in warehousing/shipping
  • Associate degree or equivalent
