Accounting Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager Credit & Cash, the position is responsible for accurate application of cash receipts, with related Accounting record keeping. The position will support month end reporting which includes Customer Statements and Sales Tax Reports. Analysis work for specified General Ledger Accounts is also provided.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Apply cash receipts against either open Customer Accounts Receivable balances or Non-Accounts Receivable accounts within the General Ledger. Proper application includes record keeping ensuring all cash received is input.
Reconcile cash on daily basis including updating Flexible Spending Account (FSA) spreadsheet.
Complete month-end review and reconciliation of specified General Ledger Accounts, (Accounts Receivable – Other, Sales Tax, and Miscellaneous Income/Expense)
Compile and distribute monthly Financial Reports accurately and on-schedule
Maintain records and coordinate traffic of off-site storage records
Maintain/Reconcile Bill of Lading to Packing slips and subsequent file of same.
Assist with Internal and External Audits related to cash application.
Assist with Accounts Payable when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Working knowledge of Adobe
Knowledge of automated Financial and Accounting reporting systems including, but not limited to, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Ability to work with all levels of an organization
Good interpersonal and organizational skills 

EXPERIENCE &EDUCATION:

3-5 years experience within office environment, preferably within a Financial Group
High school diploma required.
Associates Degree preferred and/or experience within the financial field
