Continued growth in sales has positioned the company as one of the leaders in the North American market for the supply of flexible and rigid plastic packaging. Winpak's location in Winnipeg, Manitoba is currently searching to fill the position of:
Accounts Payable Clerk - Inventory
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, The Accounts Payable Clerk – Inventory is responsible for the processing of documentation required to make payment against primarily inventory purchase related supplier invoices. Documentation includes the accumulation of purchase orders, packing slips, and supplier invoices that will utilize a 3-way match procedure prior to data entry. In addition to processing inventory related payables, the position also takes an active role in assisting with GL coding and data entry of freight charges, expenses reports, and credit card statements. Basic spreadsheet requirements exist within the position for items such as supplier account reconciliations and routine journal entry preparation.

Qualifications will include: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent with a minimum 2 years computerized accounts payable experience with a strong emphasis on accuracy. Must be detail oriented, able to work under minimal supervision, able to work to deadlines, and possess good interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills. Preference will be given to individuals with additional computer-related accounting training, experience with mainframe accounts payable systems, and experience with computer software programs such as Excel.
